Raising Her Voice

Empowering women to engage effectively in governance

Many of you are using community radio or thinking about it. Some of you are very experienced (I know that Sandhya in Nepal has a lot of experience). I am sending you a link that (I hope) may help.

It is for the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters and the website has lots of regional links, which may be helpful.

It depends on the country - but in general you're right. Community radio is useful as it extends into remote areas of countries. One interesting, possible exception to this are diaspora communities. Worth investigating?

Community Radio is an area that I'm definitely interested in learning moe about - especially how it can be embedded on the web. Do people think there would be value in this. I think it has smoe value for audiences in the north but do people think that southern audiences would listen to it on the internet?
