Equatorial Guinea ratify the Maputo Protocol

 Great news just in.....Equatorial Guinea becomes the 31st Africa Union member state to ratify the Maputo Protocol.The Protocol - a progressive and comprehensive regional piece of women's rights legislation - was adopted by the African Heads of State and Government at the 2nd Ordinary Session of Assembly of the Africa Union in Maputo on July 11, 2003. Equatorial Guinea signed the Protocol in 2005.A well-deserved congratulations to all those who lobbied so hard to make the formal ratification…See More
